 Ekta Choudhary is crowned the title of Miss India 2009 and entered the prestigious Miss Universe Contest held in the awesome islands of Bahamas. Ekta Choudhary looked absolutely stunning and captivating in the sexy bikini outfit as she contested for the title. Miss India Universe Ekta Chaudhary’s missed the Miss Universe title. She failed to make it to the top 15 finalists of the Miss Universe 2009. Expectation from her was high but her early knocked out disappointed a lot back home in India. The top 15 finalists who contested for the Miss Universe crown were from Albania, Australia, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, Dominican Republic, France, Iceland, Kosovo, Puerto Rico, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, the US and Venezuela.

Finally, Miss Venezuela Stefania Fernandez has been crowned the 2009 Miss Universe pageant. Miss Australia Rachael Finch and Miss Kosovo Gona Dragusha were crowned the first and the second runner-ups respectively. The last Indian to win the Miss Universe crown was Lara Dutta way back in 2000.

Ekta Chaudhary has the right mix of great personality, perfect attitude, beauty and smart. Ekta knew the responsibility as she was representing India on an international stage. People were stunned during the bikini round with her flawless body and style. She had looked stunning in a white-blue two-piece, but she felt the undercurrents and said, “It’s a very narrow mentality to create such frenzy around wearing swimsuits. Her confidence oozed from her words when she said, “I wore a swimsuit in front of 10,000 people here, but I didn’t feel conscious about it. It’s not about how many clothes you wear; it’s about how you carry yourself. It’s not about your attire but about your attitude. Girls here carry bikinis with same elegance as they are wearing a gown. In Bahamas, you can’t expect us to be covered from head to toe, its quite hot here.”
